Enjoy!
EDIT: Oh a bit of swearing, just the sort noobish plebs you'd see fighting on forums. Still good though

*Breaks down laughing...* Oh my gosh... that's hilarious! It's really true too. I go to watch one video or look at pics on FunnyJunk and it's always something retarded in the comments that makes me laugh. I'm so glad this forum isn't like that... for the most part. (Believe me, I've seen WAY too many not-so-friendly forums. That's why I left he equestrian forum I was registered at... so many people only wanted to argue with me rather than help!)

That was brilliant! If only because I'm old enough to remember being 12 or 14 when it came out!

It's funny, 'cause it's true!

The original song that this one was parodied after...

We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel

If you've never heard it, the song was brilliant, and the video was pretty good as well. Very sentimental, I found.

I remember it, and remember many of the people and events it describes.
Kind of sad that I do as most were before I was born (1969) or too young to know anything.
I guess I caught them in rerun or later in their careers.

We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel

Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray
South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio

Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television

Rosenbergs, H-Bomb, Sugar Ray, Panmunjom
Brando, "The King and I", and "The Catcher in the Rye"

Eisenhower, vaccine, England's got a new queen
Marciano, Liberace, Santayana goodbye

CHORUS
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it

Josef Stalin, Malenkov, Nasser and Prokofiev
Rockefeller, Campanella, Communist Bloc

Roy Cohn, Juan Peron, Toscanini, dacron
Dien Bien Phu and "Rock Around the Clock"

Einstein, James Dean, Brooklyn's got a winning team
Davy Crockett, "Peter Pan", Elvis Presley, Disneyland

Bardot, Budapest, Alabama, Khrushchev
Princess Grace, "Peyton Place", trouble in the Suez

CHORUS

Little Rock, Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, Kerouac
Sputnik, Chou En-Lai, "Bridge on the River Kwai"

Lebanon, Charles de Gaulle, California baseball
Starkweather, homicide, children of thalidomide

Buddy Holly, "Ben-Hur", space monkey, Mafia
hula hoops, Castro, Edsel is a no go

U2, Syngman Rhee, payola and Kennedy
Chubby Checker, "Psycho", Belgians in the Congo

CHORUS

Hemingway, Eichmann, "Stranger in a Strange Land"
Dylan, Berlin, Bay of Pigs Invasion

"Lawrence of Arabia", British Beatlemania
Ole Miss, John Glenn, Liston beats Patterson

Pope Paul, Malcolm X, British politician sex
JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say

CHORUS

Birth control, Ho Chi Minh, Richard Nixon, back again
Moonshot, Woodstock, Watergate, punk rock
Begin, Reagan, Palestine, terror on the airline
Ayatollolah's in Iran, Russians in Afghanistan

"Wheel of Fortune" , Sally Ride, heavy metal, suicide
Foreign debts, homeless vets, AIDS, Crack, Bernie Goetz
Hypodermics on the shore, China's under martial law
Rock and Roller Cola Wars, I can't take it anymore

CHORUS

We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
Will it still burn on, and on, and on, and on...
I'm living in the Shadows and the Night,
Wrapped in warm darkness, safe and sure.
My Path shines by the Moon's fragile light,
It frees my Mind and keeps my Heart pure.

I remember the original song. Haven't watched the video link up above b/c I don't like college humor's site.
You say "Witch" like it's a bad thing!

 Big Billy Joel fan lol. Love his stuff lol.

Also - Kystar - Normally, I would steer as far away from college humour as I can, but that was actually worth the visit for once.

You aren't old...I love billy Joel (well I did until I worked at a store where it was one of three CD's they owned that got played over and over and over)

Those lyrics took me twice as long as it normally takes me to read things, because I was singing along in my head. :-)
