Candlemas Dance
Dance the sun into the sky
With nimble feet and eager souls
Delight in the coming warmth
Stoke the fire, burn the coals
Invoke the Horned One to your heart
And revel in His endless joy
Come ye all and join our dance
Man and woman, girl and boy
Passion heat your heart and skin
And skyclad dance around the fire
Erase the cold with warmth within
And call the rising power higer
The Horned One stalks the midnight woods
As both the Predator and Prey
Along His Holy footsteps run
And celebrate the Sabbat Day
Ignore the cares that weigh you down
And lose yourself in passion's hold
For just today embrace His heat
And dance away the winter's cold
With Candlemas the spring begins
The Horned One warms the Mother's breast
With open hearts we welcome Him
And each and every soul is blessed.
