Hi other random people! I just decided to go and be on this site because one My bros a wiccan. Two I'm just like reading about religion and why they all seem to hate each other (I know not all do.). Three I sometimes feel like ranting so you might or might not decide to rant about something (interesting) in my mind. But yes I mainly came here to learn more about religion and to make sure I don't forget about wicca and make my brother homcidal towards me. j/k

Also I have really bad grammer. fair warning.

Well, we certainly wouldn't want any brotherly homicide, so pull up a chair.

Welcome stranger!

If you're interested in learning about your brother's faith, this is a pretty decent place to start out. We have a lot of reference materials in our reading rooms: http://www.paganlibrary.com/index_rr2.php and quite a few of us know far more than we should about religion in general.

Another place you might want to check out would be the theology section of your local library. They may have some books on comparative religion.

And as far as hating each other, I'm sure you'll find extremes in all religions, but for the most part, we're all pretty accepting of whatever particular path a person has chosen.

We tend to start out with decent relationships with those of other faiths that wander on our board periodically. Sadly, most of them turn out to be extreme fundamentalists bent on turning us away from our wicked ways, and things can sometimes get a little... heated. Fortunately, they either lose interest after a few days or go too far and get banned from the forums in short order, so you don't see too many all out brawls between the faiths.

Anyway, welcome to the Library. I hope you enjoy your stay.

welcome, we are pretty accepting of rants provided they are well thought out.

Looking forward to some posts, send your bro this way too, he might like it! (And the men are far too outnumbered)

Hello!

We're fine with rants, but make sure your facts are fairly straight. If you're interested, there's religious tolerance.org (http://www.religioustolerance.org/) as well, which may help you out with a range of different religions.[/url]

Hi,
Don't worry about rants, they ARE fairly common.

Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me
